Welcome to my Web site!

Hello and let me thank you for showing an interest in what is truly a remarkable breed of felines: the European Burmese. If you are contemplating the adoption of one of these delightful creatures I can guarantee that within hours of bringing one home you will be wondering how you ever lived without them!

I am a Registered Nurse and mother of four grown children. I was raised a "military brat" and have had the wonderful opportunity of living in many different places, both stateside and abroad. As soon as I was old enough to properly beg my parents, (and guilt my father) I have had cats. Except for the two years that we were stationed in Karamursel Turkey, that is. I had to settle for a turtle then.

We were living in Satellite Beach, Florida at the time that I was in third grade. Somehow I found out about a cat show being held at the Ramada Inn. Needless to say I knew I had to go! It took a couple of weeks to convince my Dad to take me, after all, that was in the mid 60's and who had ever heard of paying money to go look at cats? But the begging, whining and crying finally worked and I attended my first CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) Cat Show for purebred cats. I will never forget that experience. Keep in mind that back then the show entry was only about 35! However, I was totally enthralled and knew at that moment that, someday, I was going to raise and show purebred cats!

That dream was finally realized back in the mid 80's when I purchased my first Burmese. I did a lot of research into the different breeds of cats and decided on the Burmese because of their wonderful personalities. At that point we did not distinguish between American Burmese and European Burmese as we do now. Due to some changes in my personal life I took a break from breeding and showing the cats for a few years. When I did return to the Cat Fancy it was with the European Burmese. I purchased my first European Burmese in 1998. The European Burmese had not yet been accepted into CFA and there was a lot of work that went into getting them to that level. The European Burmese were finally accepted into Championship in February of 2002. Because they are still a fairly new breed, there is a lot of interest and questions, not only from the spectators, but from other breeders and the judges as well, which makes it absolutely delightful to show them.

If you plan on attending any CFA shows in the Midwest please look for us. We might be there!
